WOOD & WHITE

Transitional Kitchen Remodel in Raleigh

Our homeowners wanted a classic, but modern kitchen that had warm toned wood, clean white lines, and a splash of gold. We had to remove the pantry and our solution for creating storage was a custom walnut cabinet that looked like a furniture piece.

MORE SPACE FOR GATHERING

Kitchen Renovation in Chapel Hill

The homeowners wanted more room to work and spend time in their kitchen. The original layout left little prep-space and no where for friends or family to gather while together. Our design team captured space from the pantry (replacing it with cabinetry), expanded the island to include seating, and widened the walkways all the way around kitchen.

A REFRESHED LAYOUT

Kitchen Renovation in Chapel Hill

The homeowners wanted to change the layout of the original dark and dated kitchen. By taking everything down to studs we were able to give them better lighting, light cabinets, a better kitchen “triangle” and a stylish and beautiful heart of their home.

A RANGE WITH A PERSONALITY

A Chef’s Kitchen Renovation in Durham

The homeowners wanted a grand kitchen and that is what they got. The revised layout took over the little used dining room (which shifted to another adjacent space) and expanded it’s footprint. The 48″ Viking range is the show piece to this beautiful chef’s kitchen. The various work zones from the Boos butcher block top, to the fridge, to the microwave give several people the ability to be working in the kitchen at one time without being on top of each other. The built-in bench also gives friends and family a casual place to hang that’s out of the action.

CRAMPED KITCHEN NO MORE

Colorful Kitchen Remodel in Chapel Hill

The original downstairs floorplan included a 6 foot wide pantry, two coat closets, and a dedicated dining room off the kitchen. The reimagined layout shifted and reduced the size of the pantry and removed the two coat closets, closed up the opening to the dinning room, added a big island with seating and a dedicated drop zone. The dining room became an office with built-in shelving and an Ash block work surface.

CHEFS KITCHEN FULL OF DETAIL

Eurpoean Style Kitchen in Durham

The homeowner wanted to expand the cabinet layout in the kitchen, add unique details and give it a European style flare. With help from The Kitchen Specialist cabinets and an apron front porcelain sink were added along the back wall of the kitchen, where before was only a long bank of windows. An accent brick wall was created behind the banquette and a beautiful Lacanche range was added to transform this chef’s inspired kitchen.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Vibrant Kitchen + Modern Home Remodel

This house was the definition of a fixer upper. Carpet in the bathroom, dark wood paneling in the living and dining rooms, and a kitchen that was made for one. Together with the homeowners we designed a beautiful, vibrant space for their young family to come home too.

The Process

In between the living room and the dinning room was a two-sided stone fireplace that was way outdated. The homeowners choose to keep it, but turned it into a single sided wood burning fireplace to keep the living room cozy.

The kitchen was taken down to it’s studs and reconfigured for creating an open concept layout. A large island was added and countertop to ceiling yellow tiles were added for a big punch of color.

The bathrooms were renovated with tile floors, floating vanities, and a more natural color palette.
